All Recipero self-editable websites are based on database technology. Your database is continually checked for consistency to ensure that no data loss or corruption occurs. Despite having well in excess of 25,000 websites set up to date, we have never experienced any data loss or corruption. If any problems were to be detected with your site, we would be notified immediately. Consequently, it is safe to say that content from your website cannot simply disappear. Invariably it has been accidentally deleted or overwritten by someone logged in with the User ID and Password.
If you are experiencing page errors when you click one of your Custom Buttons, perhaps receiving the message "Error 500 HTTP Web Server: Illegal Arguments Exception" or "Page Not Found - Error 404", this is normally because the page has been renamed or deleted so the button can no longer find it. To remedy this, go into the Page Store and see if the page still exists, if not, see if it is in the Recycle Bin. If it is in there, restore it. If it is in neither, then it has been permanently deleted and unfortunately cannot be recovered. Go back to the Page Store and 'Add Page' to create a new page.
Once the page does exist in the Page Store, go to 'Site Settings', then 'Button Editor' and find the button that does not work. Then, on the right hand side of that particular button's row in a drop-down box. Click this box and select the new page that you have just created from the pages in the list. Once this is done, click 'Save & Close' or 'Save & Continue' and the site will refresh with the problem being resolved.
