Guidelines for qualification

To qualify for use of the free service your organisation must be from the United Kingdom, providing a clear benefit to the local community, and be one of the following:

• Registered charity
• Non-profit making organisation
• Volunteer led group / organisation

If your organisation makes any money (from fund raising etc), if this is all put towards buying new equipment etc, then this is acceptable. However if anyone in your organisation receives a wage (excluding registered charities), or will financially benefit from the website, then sadly this would not be acceptable to the community builder.

Advertising

Advertising may be included on your website, so long as any financial benefit is passed completely to the organisation to fund further equipment etc. It would not be acceptable for the advertising (or website) to profit any one individual, group of persons, or the organisations profit in general.

General advice

Please be advised that you will need to recreate your site using our site builder software should you wish to take advantage of the community kit service. It is not possible to transfer an existing site (should you have one) to our servers.
