SITEBUILDER: Why do I keep receiving no activity / login emails when I login frequently?
Solution

For free schools and community group websites, you may receive emails regarding that you have not logged into your site for more than a month. Further information about why your receive these emails can be found in the email that is actually sent out, this article covers why you receive these emails even though you login frequently.

The main reason that your activity may not being picked up, is that you are probably using a stored bookmark or favourite that bypasses the introduction and account screens. To login to your website you should always go to www.schools.ik.org (for schools) or www.communitykit.co.uk (for community groups) and work through the messages and account menu screens (using the login to your website article).

Important! If you are not using this method then your activity will not be recorded, and thus you receive the emails. Additionally, bypassing these screens will also mean that you will miss any important announcements requiring your action. There could be notices as to when your website may not be available, upgrades being performed or action you need to take. This is especially the case if you have entered an old or invalid email address. This is because any important messages that require your action will appear in your account area, as well as being emailed to the address on file. If the email is invalid, and you bypass the account messages, you will never know that you need to take action. At the worst, this could result in your website being taken offline.

Please Note: Simply viewing the website does not count as logging in. To "log in" you must enter the website in edit mode by entering your username and password as described in the login to your website article.
